Jack Vance Community & Corporate Challenge Golf Tournament

Date:June 11, 2021
Time:8:00am - 8:00pm
Location:Poplars Golf Club

The 10th – and final-playing of the Jack Vance Corporate and Community Golf Challenge will take place on Sunday, June 11, at Poplars Golf Club in Tweed.

Last year’s tournament attracted 92 golfers which included some very distinguished people. This will be the 10th and final tournament that the Tweed and Area Arts Council will host to honour General Jack Vance. Therefore, we hope to repeat last year’s outstanding attendance for the tournament that will be held at Poplars Golf Club, Tweed on June 11th, 2017. Don’t miss your opportunity to participate.

Last year’s model will be repeated and will include an opportunity to win a car as well as a cash prize. We are offering 18 holes of golf with a cart and lunch followed by a steak dinner. If you can’t golf, come for dinner only and/or sponsor a hole. All proceeds will be used to support the Arts Council in their efforts to provide upgrades to the Marble Arts Centre in order to engage more local, provincial and national performing and visual artist as well as theatre training programmes for our youth.

Mark Sunday June 11th on your calendar and join us for this historic event. General Jonathon Vance, the Chief of the Defence Staff has signalled his attendance again this year (his schedule permitting) to honour his father, General Jack Vance who was a founding member of the Arts Council as well as a talented artist himself. Tweed is proud of this unique dynasty, father and son who both achieved the highest military office in Canada.

Come and join us. We look forward to your participation.
