Blue--Green Algae Update Recent tests have confirmed the presence of blue-green algae in Stoco Lake. These organisms thrive in warm and sunny conditions and can make the water appear bluish-green, or like green pea soup or turquoise paint. Exposure to high levels of blue-green algae and their toxins can cause severe health issues.  The Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks staff attended the site
